Ultrasonic Electroplastic Pressing, Flattening and Drawing of Hardly Deformable Materials Prof. O.A.Troitsky 1. A new metals rolling technique is developed using high density current (up to 10000 Amperes/mm2) directly in the deformation zone between rolls. The technique is signified by decrease in rolling efforts (in tens of per cents), by raising of mills productivity, reduction of number of passes and of intermediary annealings, improvement of structure and of physical and mechanical properties of rolled sheets and strips as well as by ecologically safe fabrication. Electroplastic rolling can be applied in fabrication of sheet materials and of strips made of hardly deformed, high-melting brittle materials and of composites too. 2. A new method and mill is designed for ultrasonic mashing of wires made of tungsten and ofK40TU-spring alloy into a strip of a microne size using high density current (up to 10000 Amperes/mm2) directly into a zone of ultrasonic mashing of the metal. The method is characterized by increase of degrees of single coggings of the metal up to the record values (88%) without surface - and edge cracking of a tungsten strip at the speed up to 1 meter per sec., by early hardening according to degrees of deformation and by growth of strip bending numbers, by formation of complex solid solutions which contribute to the improvement of operational properties of spring strip. 3. A new drawing method for wires made of tungsten, molibdenium, niobium, carbon -, stainless - and magnetic solid steel, copper and of other metals and alloys is developed using high density current (up to 10000 Amperes/mm2) within deformation zone of a metal, inside drawing and nearby it. The technique is characterized by increased single coggings of a wire, by possibility to reduce drawing efforts in tens of per cents, decrease in number of passes and intermediate annealings, improvement of structure and physical and mechanical properties of a wire as well by ecological safety of its fabrication. |
